Description
First UK addition of the Beatles Abbey Road
This first press has variations on the sleeve. The Apple logo is misaligned with the rest of the text and Her Majesty is also missing from the sleeve and vinyl label. On front cover photo is somewhat larger than usual sleeve. The picture shows less of the trees and crosswalk (upper and bottom right).
The matrix on the record is side 1 YEX 749-2 & side 2 YEX 750-1
Small ? on labels.
Original EMI inner sleeve is black, smooth on the exterior and rough on the inside, it has label-open to only one side, and without text.
The VG+ record has been carefully played a number of times judging by the spindle marks on the label. It shows lite hairlines here and there if you put the record angled under a light from being slid in and out of the sleeve, but is still in very nice condition.
The cover is in also in excellent condition. It displays a pull back crease when angled under a light on the front cover shown in photo 6, and appears to have a 6 inch scrape along the top edge of the back cover that has removed some of the black color there, shown in photo 5.
