Description

An original and very 1st press of BFS in STEREO on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/1. 'Parlophone' mentioned around the perimeter of both labels - and '1st published' still evident too [all indicative of 1st issue]. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 'stereo' gatefold cover. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks per side, and one superficial trail - but nothing likely to enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. The intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. I tend to find it's the tracks SUN & Moonlight that tend to be the fussiest on this title. Even good looking copies can disappoint on these ultra fussy tracks. BUT - I'm pleased to report this stereo 1st copy pumps these tracks out clean and in a very assured manor. They're not perfectly clean - but they are way way better than you tend to typically find [just the odd isolated crackle]. Nice clean intro to EIGHT DAYS - this is unsual. Overall a stellar rendition and there's precious little to find fault with.
Cover (Vg+) Very well preserved for this very fussy first gatefold title of the Beatles. It was also going to be at great risk of a battering due to its design - but this example has been taken care of. Nice flat front panel with excellent retention of colours. One very light crease running horizontally toward the top and a crease bottom right [not bad at all]. The rear looks excellent too with superb preservation of colours. A couple of edge stress creases - but overall very very impressive. The interior looks real nice - no issues. Bit of edge wear - but nothing epic. The spine looks very good with a bit of wear. All text still fully legible. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity. A very fine original example.
Emitex (Vg+) A bit creased. Some ageing. But no splits.
