Description

An original stereo 1st press of BFS on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-R/2-GH. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 'stereo' gatefold cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side, and one just-getting-feelable mark on Side 1 which sounds. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one significant deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. By and large a very nice player which only has one distracting issue. It's that mark, mentioned above, which perpendicularly crosses track 1 and half of track 2. And it's 'No Reply' which suffers from this and 'Loser' that gets away with it without much issue. In 'No Reply' - do expect a good few clicks and pops throughout. It's not terrible but clearly wouldn't grade any higher than VG, at best, for this track. As you get into 'Loser' the mark is obviously fading out and there's a couple of pops, but by and large the rendition is closer to Ex. If you can put up with this aberration the remainder of the LP will rightly impress. Stereo 1st presses are not all that easy to find and a decent playing copy really does sound FAB.
Cover (Vg+) In great condition and still acquits itself well despite its 55 years of use. Relatively clean front with a bit of creasing toward the opening and on the extreme top right corner. The rear looks even better with just the start of a tiny rip at the base of the spine. The interior looks very good indeed with no issues. Edge wear is mostly light and the spine is in pretty decent condition. Do expect a couple of stress creases, but all text still legible. overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Relatively unaged. No splits or markings.
