A BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE OF GEORGE HARRISON'S FINAL ALBUM RELEASE ON THE APPLE RECORD LABEL IN OPENED SHRINKWRAP.

THIS WAS GEORGE HARRISON’S FINAL UK LP WITH AN APPLE RECORDS CREDIT, SCARCE FIRST ISSUE, ‘1U’ MATRICES, WITH A BEAUTIFUL TEXTURED SLEEVE, IN ORIGINAL OPENED SHRINKWRAP COMPLETE EXAMPLE!!

Extra Texture was George Harrison’s Seventh Solo Album and his final album release on The Beatles Apple Records Label.

Released on 9th September 1975, this 1st issue Apple LP is on the Custom Apple picture Labels, with Apple records logo, and Made in Gt Britain label text.

Both brightly coloured record labels are in Mint condition.

The official machine stamped side 1 matrix is: YEX 947-1U, and side 2/YEX 948-1U. The side 1 stampers are: 2 RP and side 2 stampers: 1 GT.

George Peckham mastered the album as can be seen with two trademark quotes in the run-out grooves. The A-side run-out groove has "A PORKY TONE PRIME CUT" etched into it, whilst the B-side has a message from George P to George H. "OOH GEORGE, YOU'RE SUCH A DARK HORSE, LUV GEORGE".

Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in Mint, the vinyl LP looks new, a beautiful example.

The Vinyl LP comes in it’s beautiful and undamaged Original Card Picture Inner Sleeve and is housed in its Original and unusually thick textured outer sleeve, designed by Roy Kohara with photographs by Henry Grossman. The album features 10 tracks.

The Inner Picture Sleeve is in outstanding Mint Minus condition, clean, bright, no handwriting or tearing, and no seam splits.

The brightly coloured orange textured outer sleeve is in the best condition that i have seen for a long time, and is in preserved Mint Minus condition, this is a top example Extra Texture sleeve still in it’s opened shrinkwrap, with none of the usual rubbing and ring wear which is very common with this sleeve, a very well cared for sleeve, with no record indentation, or edge damage..

A beautiful example of George’s final official UK Apple release, before he moved over to his own Dark Horse record label!
