Description
In this auction:
· “HELP! Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” LP by The Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records MAS - 2386.
· This LP was issued August 13, 1965.
· This is a MONAURAL (MONO) PRESSING. In fact, this is a FIRST MONO PRESSING OF THIS LP. We know that this is a 1st Pressing because:
1) the labels do NOT have the Ken Thorne credit on the last song on both sides, and
2) the Side 2 label does NOT list the song “You Can’t Do That” as part of track 4 on side 2. (There is an empty space/line where that song title should be printed.)
· The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION with light overall wear and light “aging” of the white cover. The light wear is more on the rear cover (on and near Paul’s shoulder) than on the front cover. There are a couple of small corner pushes and some light to moderate wear on the corners. There is NO flaking and NO seam splits.
· Due to the primarily white cover, this is a tough LP cover to find in nice and clean (unsoiled) condition.
· The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION with some light surface hairlines/scuffs (none “feelable”). The vinyl has lots of gloss!
· It comes with its ORIGINAL OLIVE-GREEN CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE that also pictures other Beatles LPs. This is the CORERECT COLOR CAPITOL SLEEVE for 1st pressings of “HELP!”.
· The MONO version of this LP title has become more desirable than the Stereo pressing.
