Up for auction is an original mono British pressing LP of The Beatles HELP! album - PMC 1255.
Condition (cover/record - see grading scale below) is appx. 6/6.5.  I'm a fussy collector and wet cleaned this on my Nitty Gritty vacuum years ago, and have kept it clean since.  I played it all the way through (summed to mono) the other day on my Rega Planar 3 with Shure V15 VxMR + Jico SAS stylus.  It played with some wear as the sides went on, but the record is still mostly enjoyable.  I recall hearing one audible mark - during the beginning of "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" for a short while, and it wasn't very distracting.  The cover has some noticeable wear to only about 3/8" of the lower right corner (based on looking at it from the front), with a handful of pin holes above/around it.  There's a bit of rippling to part of the opening on the back, through about 1/2" of it width.  The rest is commensurate with the grade, and still looks decent overall.  A good, if not great copy of this classic album, and an authentic original - dead area info (lacquer/mother/stamped) codes are -2/5/ALO + -2/5/AHA.  Includes the original white/lined EMI inner sleeve.

Grading scale (grades 9 & 10 are used sparingly - grades lower than 6 are not listed, as I don't typically sell low grade records):
Covers Gem Mint 10 – Cover is virtually perfect, without defect.
Mint 9 – Cover has no visible wear.  Colors are full and bright.  There will be no serious defects.
Near Mint 8 – Cover seems new at first glance, but has some barely noticeable wear.  Colors are full, but may be subdued.  White areas may have some very slight aging.
Excellent 7 – Cover has some very minor wear, but no serious defects.  Some minor friction or light flaking may exist.  Corners are relatively sharp, with maybe some minor wear.  May have some age mellowing of the white and colored areas.
Very Good-Excellent 6 – Some moderate wear will be noticeable on artwork, but there will be no serious problems.  Corners will not have significant wear.

Records Gem Mint 10 – Vinyl has no imperfections.
Mint 9 – Vinyl has no meaningful imperfections.  Vinyl luster is full.
Near Mint 8 – Vinyl has a few minor imperfections and should play without noticeable surface noise.  Vinyl luster is nearly full.
Excellent 7 – Vinyl has a few noticeable imperfections.  Vinyl still displays some luster.  Record may play with some slight surface noise, but nothing very distracting.
Very Good 6 – Vinyl has more noticeable, but not major, imperfections.  May display some original luster.  Record may play with some more surface noise than a grade 7, but will not overwhelm the sound.
