RARE find in this condition -- The BEATLES - Help! This is the much-sought-after original UK mono first pressing on the yellow and black Parlophone label. Matrix numbers are XEX 549 - 2 (side 1) and XEX 550 - 2 (side 2). The -2 designation was the first pressing for this particular album. The stamper numbers are G A P (side 1) and G T P (side 2). The vinyl was recently cleaned professionally by Cleveland Vinyl using a proprietary ultrasonic process, called "Marquard Method 6" (see last photo of poly outer sleeve, which will be included). The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ ...there are several light hairline surface marks and one more noticeable elongated one, however, they do not detract from the sound, which is excellent ...very little surface noise between tracks. The jacket is graded as VG+ ...moderate ring wear, a few tiny crease marks and a hint of yellowing on the original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated outer sleeve/jacket (Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending designation). Very light edge and corner wear, but no seam splits! Includes the original inner sleeve promoting EMITEX (see photo). LP stored in a separate poly-lined inner sleeve. This album will turn 50 years old a little later this year! This is a very collectible original that also serves as a superb playing copy! Stored in a non-smoking environment.
