Here is a VERY UNCOMMON and HARD-TO-FIND BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE.


In this auction: 1 original Beatles ATCO Picture Sleeve and 1 original Beatles ATCO 45 RPM record.


Here are the details:


  • “AIN’T SHE SWEET” b/w “NOBODY’S CHILD” by The Beatles

  • This is ATCO (Atlantic) Records 6308.

  • This record and picture sleeve were issued July 6, 1964.

  • This is an EARLY U.S. Beatles pressing when ALL of the record labels (except Vee Jay and Capitol Records, of course) were, as a result of “Beatlemania”, trying to find, gain the rights to, press, and release any and every recording made by The Beatles to meet the public’s overwhelming demand (“Beatlemania”) for Beatles’ recordings.

  • This PICTURE SLEEVE has become particularly tough to find these days.

  • This PICTURE SLEEVE has a history of having been counterfeited, but YOU CAN BE ASSURED THAT THE PICTURE SLEEVE IN THIS AUCTION IS GUARANTEED TO BE AN ORIGINAL.

  • The PICTURE SLEEVE would be in VERY NICE VG+ CONDITION, as there are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO WRITING and NO RING WEAR on this sleeve. BUT, there is a small ¼ -inch tear at the top opening on one side of the sleeve above the space between the “L” and “E” in “BEATLES” that would lower the grade some. HOWEVER, due to the RARITY of this sleeve and its attributes, the bidders will have to decide the weight of that small tear in the value. The sleeve has VERY LIGHT OVERALL WEAR and AGING. The sleeve has some light disc impression, some light folds near a corner, a light crease near another corner, and a few tiny and light impressions on one side in the center (NOT punctures!) that are really hardly visible. This PRIMARILY WHITE SLEEVE is a tough sleeve to find that is not soiled (if you can even find one!) This sleeve is QUITE CLEAN as you can see in the images.

  • The VINYL is in VG CONDITION with a number of small light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs. The initials “CW” are written in red marker on the “NOBODY’S CHILD” label. There were several variations of labels produced for this 45 RPM Record. This one has the yellow and white labels with “Division of ATLANTIC RECORDS…” in perimeter print, and the B-side publisher is “Milene”. The author credit on the B-side is “Foree-Coben”. The A-side has “VOCAL BY JOHN LENNON” on the left side of the label in small print. “The Beatles With Tony Sheridan” is printed on the B-Side.


A NICE COPY of this UNCOMMON BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE that has become tough to find these days!
