Description
A Hard Day's Night EP from 1964 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1N/2N. Label states 'Parlophone..' around the rims and 'Sold in The Uk...' which dates it to the time of release. The cover also states the printers initials 'EJD' - Ernest J Day ...................It's also in terrific condition for it's age.
Cover (Ex) Is really fantastically well preserved...these are often found a bit tired looking..Not here! The front cover is shiny like new and the rear does not suffer the usual afflictions of ageing. All flipbacks are perfectly intact and the cover has excellent rigidity. There's minimal edgewear too - that can't be an easy find....
Vinyl (Ex) Looks immaculate - how many labels look like that after 52 years! it clearly has only seen very very minimal use and that, in itself, is unusual for a Beatles 45. The record is shiny like new and i can't make out a single mark even under close examination. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet. The audio comes across with great clarity and barely any interference. The only thing that was barely audible was a couple of very very light static crackles occasionally in the final track. But that really is it...I really can't recall hearing a copy this good before.
