LABEL BACKDROP 1: A black and yellow Parlophone label with the perimeter rim copyright text, 'THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD • ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURER AND OF THE OWNER OF THE RECORDING WORK RESERVED • UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED'. Above the spindle hole the centre text, 'SOLD IN THE U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS'
LABEL VARIANT G: Spizer PAR 1230.MR1B(v) Has a 'slimmer' font with the right-hand side indicator numerals appearing in between the 'PMC' and the '1230' of the catalogue number above them. The publishing copyright date is given as 'RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964', and is indented compared to the matrix number above it. The header text on side 1 'Songs from the film "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" is large enough to extend slightly beyond the side indicator numerals. A2 'I Should Have Known Better' has its title on 1 line. All of the song titles on side 2 appear two to a line.
Record Appearance - VG+ Lovely copy barely any marks or scratches under a bright light. A lot of spindle marks on label but fine otherwise.
Record Audio - VG/VG+ Close to VG+ just the occasional spot of surface noise on quieter moments. Superb rich sound and crystal clear vocals, great listen.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Really nice condition barely any shelf wear. Some light dirt and discolouration to the rear of the sleeve as usual. Name "Bob" written in biro on rear.
