Help! an original pressing from summer 1966 on the wide-band stereo label in Oz. We can date this LP quite accurately to summer 1966 because the label design has just been changed from the publishing credits 'Leeds Music' to 'Northern Songs'. Also please note mono copies were still the prevalent format at this time and so their stereo cousins are harder to come by. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original flipback sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb shape and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of ultra-light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet, and the audio comes across with great clarity and minimal interference. We detected the odd crackle in the occasional place, but in reality the only vaguely audible interference was toward the end of 'Ticket to Ride'. Other than that we are talking a superb level of playback from an early so often abused original copy of Help.
Cover (Ex) An iconic cover and one that so often turns up worse for wear and ageing. This copy has survived the years far better than most. Only the very lightest of ageing is apparent and there's no evidence of any nasty marks or tears. The text on the spine is mostly intact and overall the cover still retains an excellent level of rigidity.
