Description

The Beatles -  Help First Pressing August 1965 (Variation A) Rare Vinyl. This is the first pressing released on August 6th 1965 (PMC 1255) Matrix numbers XEX 542-2/XEX 550-2. One way of telling if this is the first or second pressing is The credit indicator is placed to the right of the song on 'I Need You' and is one space away on later pressings it is right next to it also on the first pressing Track 6 side 2 'Yesterday' starts it's own line on latter pressings it has NCB from the song credit before in front of it. This is what the website 'The Beatles Collector' said about the first pressing:

1. First pressing. August 6, 1965.
Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” prnted at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Capitol print. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. With or without KT tax code on the label. Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 549-2; Side 2: XEX 550-2.

Variation A. The original 1st labels used a Sans-Serif font and the * credit indicator for “I Need You” was placed to the right of the song title with a space between: I Need You *.

There is a first pressing 'Variation B' that has a few small differences but from what I can see from the site this was the first of the 2 pressings to be released for full information please see:

Condition:

Vinyl: Very Good, a few small mark no scratches and plays all the way through both sides with no pops or jumps and only minimal noise you would expect for a record of this age between tracks.

Inner Sleeve: Very Good, wax lined paper but not the original 'Emitex' sleeve.

Sleeve: Laminated front cover with no tears or split seams and a few creased/marks you would expect for a record of this age. There are no names written on the back but someone has put an asterisk next to their 4 favourite songs (You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, I Need You, It's Only Love & Yesterday)

I will only post this item Registered in the UK and International Signed For Overseas as I have had trouble with the post lately (Nearly 10 items have not turned up since the start of December) it is more expensive but you can track the item and it is insured.
