THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This outstanding 1st UK MONO pressing dates from initial August 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 6/PO & 7/GDO
Vinyl weight: 152g
Housed in a superb front laminated, tri-flipback, 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.

Both are clean & bright with a dozen or so spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole, less on side 2.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Exceptionally clean & unworn playing surfaces which retain all of their deep-gloss shine and are unmarked in strong daylight. Close inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals nothing more than a few harmless marks from contact/removal from the inner-sleeve & a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this very well looked-after disc 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This cherished copy has received minimal careful play on quality equipment only and as a result everything plays loud & clear, with no trace of any crackle or groove/playwear distortion. The masterful mono mix of 'Yesterday' is totally free from any unwanted noise or interference. There are of course no clicks or pops on any track and only a trace of low-level vinyl background between them. Tough to find a better sounding copy of this album.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A truly beautiful example of this striking cover which is rarely found in anything approaching this condition.
Carefully stored in a non-smoking environment, the colours are as fresh & clean as the day it left the shop.
The front panel laminate is clean, glossy & unworn with no yellowing, creasing or any 'thumbnail' wrinkles.
The only factors preventing 'MINT' are slight bruising to the right rear corners & a neatly written name on the rear panel.
Both of the opening edges are sharp and clean with no 'pushes' tears or feathering.
All flipbacks are intact and both upper & lower seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
The spine is perfect condition.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Clean & crisp with no writing, tear or seam splits.
This 'time-capsule' cover really looks like it was bought yesterday, let alone 51 years ago.
