Description

A 1st pressing of Help! on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Please note the label holds the abbreviated publishing credit 'Lark Mus' - not 'Lark Music' and there's a space before the asterisk on the track 'I Need You' - this is indicative of the very 1st pressing. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition despite having seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a couple of cackles in a couple of isolated moments - i.e. very little at all. Even 'Yesterday' plays super clean and that is a difficult ask!
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. That iconic cover remains white and shiny with only one tiny thumb nail crease. The rear has totally escaped the usual fading that so often afflicts these covers. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a terrific example which would be very difficult to better..
Emitex (Ex) Lightest of ageing. No splits or markings.
