The Beatles - Help! - Original UK Stereo LP - B&Y Parlophone PCS 3071 - VG+. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Up for sale is an original 1965 stereo copy of the Beatles album, "Help!". In the 1960s mono sound was the dominant format and stereo was only in it's infancy so in the original production runs there were nowhere near as many stereo copies pressed as there were mono. Many Beatles purists prefer the mono mixes of their albums due to issues with poor stereo mixing with some albums but Help is one of the few exceptions here, it's mix sounding nice, centered and balanced overall.
This LP is in nice condition for it's age. A visual inspection of the record shows that is has multiple sleeve removal marks and hairlines however these seem to have no effect whatsoever on the sound of this record, a testament to the quality of 1960s vinyl. It sounds very nice on my system although it has some small amounts of surface noise, only noticeable in the more quiet segments of the music and in-between tracks. I'd personally grade the record between VG and VG+, swaying towards the latter. It's a nice listen of this classic album, although not mint. Considering the age of this record, it probably needs a good cleaning which could improve the sound
The record comes in it's original cover which I'll grade as VG, it has held up over the years however there are some signs of age-related wear, such as slight yellowing, ring wear, corner bumps and scuffing. The spine is nice and clear. The cover has a name written on it in multiple places on the front and back cover and it's also written on the record's labels. This record and cover have held up nicely over half a century and if cared for will last much longer! It also comes in it's original emitex inner which I presume is the cause of the superficial marks.
