Description

The Beatles, Help! 1965 Original U.K. Mono 1st pressing.
This is a superb copy of a record that is over 55 years old and a great chance to own a piece of music history.
John Lennon described the song ‘Help’ as one of his favourites. And this is a great copy to listen to it on. 

This album has all the expected features of a true 1st pressing:

  • Garrod & Lofthouse flip back sleeve with large 'outline' mono
  • Original 'Care Of Your Record' EMI inner sleeve
  • PMC 1255 catalogue number
  • XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2 matrix numbers
With Black Labels featuring:  
  • Yellow Parlophone logo with silver writing
  • “The Gramophone Co...” written around the bottom half of the perimeter
  • “Sold in U.K” text under the Parlophone logo 
  •  ? 1965 publishers credit
The condition of the album is as follows:
Sleeve: Very Good +

Considering it’s age the sleeve looks great!
The front has very few blemishes, is still remarkably white, and retains the original gloss sheen.
The laminate covering is in great shape with only ver minor splitting around the edges. 
As can be seen in the pictures, the rear is slightly discoloured by a small stain near the bottom.
Otherwise the rear is in good shape, the flipbacks are well attached with no folding, and there is no writing or scuffs. 
The spine is very clean and maintains crisp edges.
The corners are good with only slight signs of storage wear.
Overall a great sleeve that has been well looked after.

Vinyl: Very Good +

The vinyl looks and sounds great. 
The audio playback is crisp and clear with remarkably little background noise in between tracks and during quieter sections. 
Cautiously graded VG+ due to a few non-audible surface marks which can be picked up in the light.
 The labels retain their original bright colours, have no writing and have minimal spindle ware. 
It’s a real pleasure to listen to. A great copy to own.

Inner Sleeve: Excellent

Original EMI advertising inner sleeve has no rips, tears or creases. Rare to find one looking this neat. 
Also included is an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve that the record has been stored within. 

Overall this is a fantastic copy of a classic Beatles album. Great to be listened to and enjoyed by a collector or to be framed and the wall in a display
The record is stored within a polythene outer sleeve and will be posted in a padded vinyl record mailer.
