 THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'

This EXCELLENT UK 1st mono pressing dates from initial August 1965 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.

 

Matrices: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2

Stamper codes: 2/PM & 1,6/PG

Vinyl weight: 147g

 

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover, complete with original 'Use Emitex..' lined inner-sleeve.

 

CONDITION

Disc: EXCELLENT

This well looked-after disc retains clean, glossy & unworn playing surfaces bearing only some light wispy hairlines directly beneath halogen light. It has been played a number of times and there is a moderate collection of spindle trails around each centre hole. However the sound quality is EXCELLENT throughout with just minor vinyl background on 'Yesterday' and no clicks, pops or any other audible issues.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Clean & more importantly white with minor bruising to the left corners but no 'thumbnails' or any other significant signs of wear. The rear panel is clean, white & unblemished. There is a little missing laminate to the upper flipback but no damage whatsoever to the seams or the fully worded spine.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean, crisp & undamaged.
