THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This solid EXCELLENT UK 1st mono pressing dates from initial August 1965 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
An 'MT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrices: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 4/AL & 2/L
Vinyl weight: 153g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover, complete with original 'Use Emitex..' lined inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Disc: EXCELLENTThis well looked-after disc retains clean, glossy & unworn playing surfaces with the only significant visual blemish being a light wispy scuff over side 1. The sound quality is warm & clear throughout with just a few very soft ticks between tracks on side 1 but no heavy clicks, jumps, repeats or any other such fault.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean & strong example which retains an unscratched high-gloss front panel laminate bearing just a single tiny 'thumbnail' and spine wrinkle. There is minor bruising to the corner tips and there are no tears to either opening edge. The exposed rear panel has some light, even toning but is without any writing or missing paper. Both seams and the fully worded spine are unstressed & unsplit.
