Description

Up for bid is a beautiful first UK stereo pressing of the Beatles "Help!" on the Parlophone label, cataloged PCS-3071. Featured are the black labels with yellow Parlophone logo and the Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated, flip back cover. The matrix on Side 1 reads YEX 168-1 and on Side 2 YEX 169-1. The mother/stamper codes are 1/MP and 2/MD on Side 1 and Side 2 respectively, indicating on Side 1: first mother, 46th stamped and on Side 2: second mother, 40th stamped. This is an impossibly early copy and is comparably amazing condition.

The vinyl looks practically unplayed, a solid NM. The labels are clean and the center hole shows no sign of wear. The flip back cover is in conservative VG++ condition, almost NM- but for some slight bending on the bottom corners of the jacket, most noticeably on the bottom right corner. The jacket is otherwise in great condition with sharp corners, no marks or pealing to the laminate on the front cover. This is a nearly perfect copy and would make an excellent addition to any Beatles collection.
