The Beatles Help b/w I’m Down Original Capitol Pic Sleeve & 1st Press Record

In this auction: 1 Original Beatles Picture Sleeve and 1 Original Beatles 45 RPM record.

Here are the details:

• “HELP!” b/w “I’M DOWN” by The Beatles

• This is Capitol Records 5476.

• This picture sleeve and record were released July 19, 1965.

• The RECORD is a FIRST PRESSING. We know this because the A-side has publishing credits to Maclen Music, Inc.

• The PICTURE SLEEVE is in STRONG VG+ CONDITION. It has NO SEAM SPLITS, NO WRITING, and NO TEARS. It has a lttle bit of light partial ring wear on the B-side of the sleeve and some light signs of handling like some small light folds at the top opening. There is a“77” cents original blue price stamped near the center of the A-side of the sleeve. It is primarily a flat sleeve with some very light/slight disc impression (NOT ring wear). It really is a VERY NICE PICTURE SLEEVE! (Just check out the images!)

• This is a straight-cut EAST COAST SLEEVE.

• The VINYL is in NICE VG+ CONDITION, and the labels have NO wear at all..

• The VINYL has a triangle“?” in the trail-off wax. This is the symbol Capitol Records used to identify vinyl pressed at its Scranton Pressing Plant.

• Therefore, this East Coast Picture Sleeve and Scranton-Pressed vinyl are correctly paired/matched.

• NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally or accidentally switch vinyl and picture sleeves/LP covers in order to create an item with a higher grade sleeve/cover and vinyl combination, but NOT correctly matched to the proper pressing plant. I don’t do that. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.

Thanks to the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels for some information about this record and picture sleeve.
