Description
I am selling many BEATLES and BEATLES-RELATED LPs from my collection. So, please check my other current auctions and upcoming auctions.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “HEY JUDE” by the Beatles
· This LP is Apple Records ST 2047.
· This is a STEREO RECORD.
· This LP is MINT & STILL SEALED in its original SHRINK WRAP. There is a 6-inch slit in the shrink wrap on the opening from bottom to mid-point, and the shrink wrap is torn at the bottom center 5 inches x 2 inches on both front and rear. There is a sticker on the shrink wrap at the top right corner.
· The Shrink Wrap has “breathe holes”.
· Information provided is based on Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records section about sealed LP’s.
· The cover is of cardboard construction, NOT poster-board. Poster-board covers were used after 1976.
· Here is the info on this SEALED HEY JUDE LP from Perry Cox’s chapter on SEALED ALBUMS (page 13): “Since Yellow Submarine and Hey Jude were on Apple originally, their covers did not change from 1969-1970 to 1976. Therefore, you will not be able to distinguish further between pressings, although you’ll know that you have an Apple label copy.”
· Based on the information above, the sealed LP in this auction most likely has Apple labels, though it is unknown if the pressing has labels with the first LP title, The Beatles Again, and “Mfd. by Apple” on them (1970 pressing) OR the revised LP title, Hey Jude, and “a Subsidiary of Capitol” on the labels (1971 pressing) OR the revised LP title, Hey Jude, with “Mfd. by Apple” on the labels (1971-1975 pressing).
· I have furnished as much information as I can to aid bidders in identifying what they are bidding on concerning this sealed Beatles LP. However, as the LP is STILL SEALED, I cannot guarantee what label is inside even though Perry Cox states that it should be Apple.
· A nice STILL SEALED BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection.
FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade the LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding. And please check my other auctions for other LPs you may want to add to your collection. Be high bidder on several and combine shipping! NOTE: Still Sealed LPs that are opened by the buyer are NOT eligible for return and NOT eligible for a refund. Winning bidder must remit payment within 7 days of auction close by PayPal. Add $4.00 for shipping to an address in the lower 48 U.S. states via media mail with tracking. (Postage is more to Alaska and US islands.)
