"Let It Be" had its US release on 18 May 1970 by United Artists Records under catalog number AR 34001 with a red Apple label, a gatefold sleeve and a $6.98 list price. More than 3.7 million advance orders had been placed, which at the time was the highest for any album in the history of the US recording industry.
