Introducing the Beatles was the first studio album released in the USA by the Beatles. Although originally scheduled for release in July 1963, it was released10 January 1964, 10 days before Capitol Records released their ‘Meet The Beatles’ album, which reached No 1 in the album charts for 11 consecutive weeks. ‘Introducing The Beatles’ made No 2, selling 1.3 million copies. Following an agreement between Vee-Jay and Capitol, Vee-Jay deleted the albumin late 1964.

This very rare album was counterfeited in the 1960s and 70s. For information about how to spot counterfeit copies, see Wikipedia’s article on the album.

The disc displays clean playing surfaces with no skips, jumps or stalls. Both labels are in excellent condition and are clean with no inscription marks.

This item is part of a larger collection of rare vinyl and autographs that are being listed over the coming weeks on behalf of the Filmer Trust educational charity (Charity Registration No 1042857).
