Description
I originally purchased this album new in January 1964 from Thomas Piano/Music Store in Newport News VA. The attached photos provide all the details to prove its authenticity. A few "identifiers": Ad Back "Printed in USA" lower left side front cover Oval logo Black rainbow label ( includes green band) titles are "centered" on label record side marked with "Side I" and "Side II" ... NOT "1" & "2"
The record has a few very minor hairline and scuff marks that are not noticeable when played on a good system. The local record collectors shop says it falls between a VG and a VG+ in appearance but plays like a VG ++. The cover, unfortunately, like all my albums from the 60s, have my name on the front cover and titles of the songs written on the back with ballpoint pen. The front cover also has a small smudged spot in upper right hand corner. Otherwise the front is in great shape. Two of the corners have slight bends, the spline is in very good shape with small sections missing at each end; top edge has some seam splits and bottom edge has several seam splits. The same local pro rated the cover between a VG and VG+, however due to the song titles I scribbled in ballpoint over 50 years ago, I would say VG. The inner liner is a generic white liner.
This is a very rare album & cover of which less than 6,000 were printed.
