Description

The Beatles  "Introducing The Beatles"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Vee Jay 1062  from 1964.    This is a Mono pressing.    It plays the Version One songs : 'Love Me Do' and "P. S. I Love You'.     The song titles are in two columns on the back cover.    The labels are black with colorband and VJ in oval.      The labels are 45 size labels, because VJ ran out of album size labels.

This is a real cover.     The front cover has crisp sharp printing with George's shadow on the right.     The spine has printing.     The inside cover folds are 1/4 inch at top and bottom.      This is a real record.    It has 'Introducing The Beatles' and 'The Beatles' above the spindle hole.    The inner groove area is 7/8 inch wide.    The record plays the right songs, including 'Love Me Do' and 'P. S. I Love You'.     And the labels list the right songs.   Also the colorband has all of the correct colors.    So, this is a genuine version one record in a genuine version one cover.

This is a Monarch Records pressing.   It is VJ1062 (1)MR2 in Bruce Spizers book.   The matrix numbers are :  Side One : machine stamped 'audio matrix' and MR in a circle.    Then hand etched : 63-3402  triangle 5702.     Side Two : machine stamped : 'audio matrix' and MR in a circle.     Then hand etched : 63-3403   triangle 5702-X.

The songs are :   I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Love Me Do, P. S. I Love You, Baby It's You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, A Taste Of Honey, There's A Place, and Twist And Shout.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG /  Record is VG

The cover is VG.      There is three inches of clear tape on the top right seam and the whole bottom seam has clear tape.    There is a small name on the back cover.    There is light overall cover wear.     The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG+.     There are lots of tiny scuffs on ALL of the playing surface.    But, it plays great.    There is very light static between the songs, but it's not loud.    The music plays great with no pops, no crackling, and no skips.   It plays much better than it looks.       The labels are clean with lots of light spindle marks.  The record comes in a Vee Jay Records inner sleeve.     The inner sleeve has clear tape on all seams.
