-
“INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP by The Beatles
-
This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.
-
This is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.
-
It was released in 1964.
-
This is VERSION 1 of this LP with column back cover and INCLUDES the cuts “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You”. As you probably know, legal action against Vee Jay Records required the removal of these 2 songs from future issues of this LP. Vee Jay replaced them with “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” which has come to be called Version 2.
-
The labels are black with perimeter color-band and Vee Jay oval logo.
-
BOTH COVER and VINYL ARE ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC! We know this because:
-
The cover has George’s shadow and spine printing.
-
The labels have “THE BEATLES” printed above the spindle hole.
-
The vinyl has the Monarch Records logo (MR in a circle) stamped in the trail-off on both sides.
-
The vinyl has “AudioMatrix” stamped in the trail-off on both sides.
-
So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and NOT a counterfeit.
-
The COVER is in NICE VG+ CONDITION. There is very light overall wear which can be seen at the bottom center area of the front cover slick and a few light scrapes on the right of the front cover slick (in George’s shadow) near the opening. There is a corner push on the top right corner that has caused anda couple of small “ripple” creases there. There is light to moderate wear on the corners. The seams and spine are strong and show NO wear at all! There are NO seam splits, NO flaking, NO ring wear, NO writing, and NO tears on this cover. The primarily white rear cover shows very minimal aging and has a very small ink mark/smudge in the center.
-
The VINYL is in NICE VG CONDITION. There are a number of small and light surface hairlines/scuffs (none of them are “feel-able”) and LOTS OF GLOSS!
-
The labels have some light spindle trails on the labels, but the spindle hole and the area around it don’t show any wear.
-
As you probably know VERSION 1 issues of this LP are MUCH TOUGHER TO FIND than the Version 2 issues.
