The Beatles Introducing the Beatles VJ Version 1 LP with Oval Logo

$

85

I am continuing to sell some early, rare, and rather obscure Beatles LPs from my collection. So, please check my other auctions too.

In this auction:

·       “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” by The Beatles

·       This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.

·       It was released in 1964.

·       This is Version 1 of this LP with column back cover and includes the cuts “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” which were replaced with “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” on Version 2 of this LP.

·       The labels are black with perimeter colorband and Vee Jay oval logo.

·       BOTH COVER and VINYL ARE ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC!

1)   The cover has George’s shadow and spine printing.

2)   The vinyl disc has the Monarch Records logo (MR in a circle) stamped in the trail-off on both sides.

·       So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and not a counterfeit.

·       The COVER is in NICE VG+ CONDITION. There is light overall wear and some light stains (circular from a glass) and a name written in blue ballpoint on the rear cover. Seams and spine are nice and strong and show NO wear at all!

·       The VINYL is STRONG VG to VG+ CONDITION. There are some surface hairlines/scuffs and LOTS OF GLOSS!

·       The labels have some spindle trails and spindle trail scrapes as you can see in the images.

·       It seems that Version 1 copies of this LP have become tougher to find than the Version 2 copies these days.

Some information about this LP is from Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records.

FYI: I use the COVER/SLEEVE GRADES and RECORD GRADES listed and described on page 8 of Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records. These are: Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY grade the 45s and picture sleeves I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
