Description
Here is a vintage pressing of JOLLY WHAT! THE BEATLES & FRANK IFIELD ON STAGE. I bought this back in the 70's and it was advertised as being original. I think it is pretty safe to say this is not an original Vee Jay pressing. This must have been when folks started making counterfeit pressings and tried to fool unsuspecting people into thinking they were really original pressings. It is still collectible in its own right.
I use GOLDMINE grading standards:
DISC - Near Mint SIDE 1 I hear some surface noise between tracks until after the next-to-last last one, but otherwise plays pretty clean.
SIDE 2 it is less noticeable on and gets very clean after Track 4.
COVER - Very Good+. I'm pretty sure this is a counterfeit/boot of this Vee Jay title. It does not have printing on the spine as the originals had. The Back Cover has a wrinkle/bulge on the open side. There is a 'line' along the left edge on the Front Cover. It was not shrinkwrapped and I never would slice open an LP. It is more like an indention and may be a manufacturing flaw.
I am pretty obsessive, so I may point out more than I should for my own good, but it's my nature. Check my Feedback.
LP's are removed from their outer sleeve to help protect against edgewear and sent in plastic outer sleeve.
