An incredible opportunity to own both the 45s and original picture sleeves for John Lennon's first two solo 45's, American pressings of "Cold Turkey" and "Give Peace A Chance". Both singles came out in 1969 under the pseudonym of the Plastic Ono Band. First up is "Give Peace A Chance" which was issued int he U.S. on July 7, 1969. The actual single here is a first pressing (Spizer catalog number APP.1809.1L(as) ) and is a Los Angeles plant pressing. The vinyl is beautiful and appears to have been played once or twice at most. The picture sleeve for "Give Peace" is the straight cut version (Spizer catalog number 1809.PS1A) is in decent shape and completely in tact but does some obvious signs of wear including some minor wrinkling and scuffing. Please see the attached photos to see for yourself. Also included is the single "Cold Turkey" which came out in the States on October 20, 1969. This is another Los Angeles pressing (Spizer catalog number APP 1813.01L(as) ) and looks as though it has never been played, it's that beautiful. The picture sleeve is the east coast straight cut version (Spizer catalog number APP 1813.PS1A) and is in gorgeous condition. Most definitely the best I've ever seen. Looks like you could have picked it up out of a record store bin on the release date. Again, please check out the photos to show how nice this sleeve is.
