Description
LET IT BE original BOX set (PXS 1) originally released on MAY 8th 1970
RECORD: YEX 773-2U ( 1G PP) and XEX 774-2U (3 AH) VERY GOOD plus overall. A few clicks and background noise on side 1 but hardly any external noise (hisses/clicks) on side 2.
The COVER has the red apple on the back and is also in very good plus condition with minor ringwear and a couple of laminate chips.
The white inner bag has Patent Nos. 1,125,555 and MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN at the bottom and has a split in the seam on one side.
The Beatles Get Back book is complete with no missing pages but it does have about a quarter of the pages loose. This book had very fragile binding and in most copies after 40 years some pages have become loose.
The fragile inner tray (which hold the book in place) is in three pieces but these do fit together if you wanted to make any repairs. The slide in tray is in intact and the outer case has a 5 cm split along the top edge (above Paul’s photo). There is also some laminate chipping on the front case cover which has happened over the years
Overall a very nice VG+ complete copy of the Let it be box set.. Not perfect but very, very few are. These are fragile things which have easily picked up wear and tear over 40 years of use. This copy has had one previous owner from new and has been relatively well looked after.
A nice investment as prices of these have been going up considerably in the last few years. Cost, originally nearly £3 (59 shillings /11 pence) in 1970! Starting bid today £3!!
