Description
Original Beatles' first single. I cannot hear any tambourine, which would mean this is the 4th September session drummer recording, not Ringo.
Asessed by a reviewer for a hifi magazine as: 'I found the A side quite good quality for a single – the bass guitar in particular has a lovely, warm richness to the sound – doubtless they used a valve guitar amplifier! I think it might have been the original sleeve – they often advertised LPs on the back – I love the list – The Temperance Seven – Beyond the Fringe and the Best of the Goons Shows No.2'
Professionally cleaned with Knosti record cleaning system which removes dust and dirt, static, and the mould-release agent responsible for background noise.
As a result, this plays very well.
Label: Parlophone: 45-R 4949. Red label with silver writing, retaining full colour crispness and lettering.
Matrixes: 7XCE 17144-1N , and tax code ZT.1. Stamper GD.I think that makes it a first pressing but please check this if important to you.
Record has a slight jagged edge at one point, not visible but can be felt. It's on the outside edge and does not affect the play.
Sleeve is the original diamond shape pattern and has the worn effect which in other antique fields would be called a patina: ie it's creased and has a few stains - coffee, I suspect; and the top inch is split. Inner circle edge has minor tears. REVISION: opposite edge has since split.
This will be dispatched to the buyer protected by a jiffy bag and bubble-wrap. I will obtain proof of posting and it will be recorded and insured.

I have played the records on a high-quality hifi system to check for condition.
