This is an original 1964 issue.
Vee-Jay 1092, “Songs Pictures And Stories Of The Fabulous Beatles”, was issued in 1964 in MONO. It's a re-packaging of 1062 after Beatles stardom rocketed in the United States. VJLP-1062 with rainbow bracket labels is the MONO record that was included in this re-packaging of the 1963 issues.
The record is VG+. 60's vinyl often plays above its visual grade. The labels are flawless. All original vinyl issues have both the title and "The Beatles" ABOVE the spindle hole. The gatefold is 2/3.
Matrix run-outs are 63-3402 and 63-3403.
Unauthorized reissues have "The Beatles" BELOW the spindle hole. The gatefold on unauthorized reissues is full.
The 2/3 gatefold cover (an original) has above average wear on the corners and edges. 2.5" of spine slick is missing. Ring wear. The inside gatefold is excellent. Crease lines along left edge. No cut-outs.
Goldmine values this LP at $250 when the vinyl is VG+. Discounted because the cover is less than perfect.
LP’s are bubble-wrapped and shipped in specially designed cardboard boxes for safety.
