The Beatles- Last Live Show- This disc is a late 1960's pressing on Live Records, probably one of the very first pressings, if not the first, of this live Beatles in concert at Shea Stadium recording The Beatles performed their last concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 1966, wherefore the title, "Last Live Show" is a bit misleading. The iconic black and white photo insert of the Beatles on the plain white front cover appears to be from Shea Stadium, New York. This disc includes 12 songs recorded live during one of their few U.S. tours. After the Hollywood Bowl, the Beatles were never to play a live concert together again until the last minute and short improvised roof-top concert on the roof of Abbey Road studios during the Get Back sessions. Track two on side one is a post conference interview with the Beatles talking about the frenzied fans of their initial concerts and about security.
This was one of the first Beatles albums I purchased. I bought it about 49 years ago. It is very clean and the vinyl is heavier than other pressings of this type from that era. This pressing is not easy to find. I feel it is a collector's album all serious Beatles fans will want to own in some format.
