Description
This incredibly rare black vinyl import release was pressed and released on Odeon Records, Pathe -Marconi(EMI) in France in January of 1964. It is shown on some record search sites as Les Bealtes #1, and apparently followed another Les Beatles #1 released in 1963. This is an original French import pressing and not a re-release or re-printing. The entire album jacket is in French. Interestingly, the label is printed mostly in English with some French words.
I was fortunate to obtain this particular copy at a record convention at the Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the mid 1970's. I have kept it carefully stored since I purchased it about 43 years ago. I am not a record dealer. All my e-Bay listings are from my own collection.This is one of my rarest albums in my collection. It features a wonderful purple and black cover with pictures of the Beatles not seen on any other albums I have seen.
