Description

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING

This is a still-sealed copy of The Beatles "Let It Be" (Apple Records, AR 34001, May 18, 1970). Because this album was out of print for almost a decade beginning in the 1970's, many counterfeits copies exist. Most counterfeits are easy to spot because of poor color reproduction, blurred photos and/or cut-out markings, however some were very well done. This LP does not look like a counterfeit to me or to the other Beatles collectors I showed it to. I even spoke to a former manager at the store (Wherehouse in California) where the LP was originally purchased. He doesn't believe they ever carried the counterfeit copies. The color is bright and the images are sharp. The only flaw is that the spine writing is mis-aligned and completely on the back side of the LP (however, that happens sometimes on legit records as well). I want to be very clear: while I think this is a legitimate copy, I don't absolutely know for sure and I'm not advertising it as one. To my knowledge, the only way to 100% verify a counterfeit is by looking at the run-off. Because this LP is sealed, I can't do that. If any Ebay watchers can advise me on this, it would be much appreciated. I'm going to open the bidding at a low $10.00. Even if it turns out to be fake, it will look great in your collection.
