Description
"Let It Be"- The Beatles vinyl LP - AR-34001 US 1st press - in great condition considering age (this album was released in 1970) - Used - Plays well but could do with a professional clean.
The Let It Be album was a soundtrack album to a film of the same name, so in the US the record was distributed by United Artists Co. (Not Capitol Records). To signify this - in the US they issued the L.P. with Red "Apple" logos on the labels and rear cover. Released in May 1970 this gatefold album has photo's taken by Ethan Russell documenting the band rehearsing and working on the album.
Run Out Area: these pressings were mastered by a US Company called Bell Sound. There is a stamp made into the vinyl on both sides of the record, which says "Bell Sound". They were made by a technician named Sam Feldman, his initials "sf"are also scratched into the vinyl near the 'BS' stamp.
also in the run out area is a tiny triangular symbol - inside the triangle are the letters "IAM' which stands for the International Association of Machinist Union who's workers ran the pressing plants.
Sam Feldman also scratched the words "Phil & Ronnie" into the run out. "Phil" was for Phil Spector, who produced the album, and "Ronnie" is for Ronnie Spector who was Phil's wife at the time.
another indicator of being a first press is that the track Maggie Mae is credited to "P.D."
