‘LET IT BE’

by

the Beatles

box set – Apple PXS 1 - Stereo PCS 7096

This is the first pressing of ‘Let it Be’ which came as a box set in 1970 incorporating the ‘Get Back’ book of photographs and recorded dialogue. Fans at the time complained of the price of the package, only wanting the record, so Apple then released just the L.P. for sale which proved much more popular; so there’s not many of these boxed sets around still in good condition.

The record is unmarked with no surface marks at all. It plays as if it were new. Matrix numbers YEX 773-2U and YEX 774-2U with stampers 1 LT and 2HH.

The sleeve has the red Apple logo on the rear with a white inner. It is in good condition with no tears, only a few scuff areas on the opening edge.

The book is complete with no loose pages (normally a design fault with this fragile book). The cover has a crease on both top and bottom corners but otherwise in good condition with no marks.

The Black card inner and outer trays have no tears, only the normal creases you would expect with a design of this type. There are areas along some of the folds and edges of the outer tray flaps where the black colour has rubbed away.

The outer slip case has no tears, only a little scuffing on the edges where you slide out the package and an area on the bottom where some of the protective thin clear lamination has come away from the sleeve. There is also a thin (2-3mm.) area 1cm. long on the top spine where the black background is missing.

I hope the accompanying photographs will help with the appraisal.

I have tried to be honest with the description and have not attempted to cover any small defects in the packaging ( i.e. no black felt tip pens!)

This is a very good example of a scarce piece of Beatles memorabilia and I’m only selling it due to a house move overseas.

It will be posted in a stiffened, purpose built, record mailer by first class mail. I always obtain proof of posting but cannot be held responsible for lost packages (very rare) due to Royal Mail unless Insurance is undertaken.(see below). The set weighs over 1 Kg. so:

Postage and packing to:
