Description
UK 1st pressing of Love Me Do / PS I Love You, the very first Beatles single, issued on Parlophone in 1962 and supplied in the original candy stripe Parlophone sleeve.
The absence of the “Made In Gt Britain” text under the Parlophone logo on the label, plus the ZT tax code in the run out, and the red label indicates this was pressed before November 1962 – a very early copy.
The vinyl has scuffs, marks and hairlines, but plays through both sides with surface noise. However, this is overpowered by the music which comes through strongly. It grades Good visually, and Good+ on the audio.
The labels have a name written on both sides, but the 4-prong pushout centre is intact, and there is no other notable damage or wear. The labels grade VG to VG+.
The original candy stripe sleeve has no seam splits and is in VG+ order.
