THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S I LOVE YOU'
This early UK 1st pressing dates from initial October 1962 release on the red & silver Parlophone label: 45-R 4949
Both labels include the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text.
A 'PT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label, with 'MPZT' stamped in each run-out.
Matrices: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N
Stamper codes: 1/RR & 1/RG
Housed in an original (not a reproduction) coloured diamonds Parlophone company sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT +
Clean & bright with just two light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole. Both would be EX+ if for a small pen mark on the 'Love Me Do' label.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean and retain an excellent deep-gloss shine. Some insignificant wispy marks and light hairlines are visible beaneth halogen light, but these do not affect sound or play.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
Played just a couple of times, both tracks sound clean & clear with a warmth and presence missing on any other pressing or issue of these songs. You won't be disappointed.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A virtually 'as new' example.
