Description
I’m putting up more extra copies of Beatles picture sleeves and records from my collection. So, if you want to begin a collection of Beatles Singles Picture Sleeves or are seeking to obtain upgrades of certain picture sleeves, you will definitely want to check out my other current auctions.
In this auction are 1 original Beatles Tollie Records Picture Sleeve and 1 original Beatles Tollie Records 45 RPM record.
Here are the details:
· “LOVE ME DO” b/w “P.S. I LOVE YOU” by The Beatles
· This is TOLLIE RECORDS T-9008.
· This record was issued in 1964.
· The Picture Sleeve for Tollie Records T-9008 was issued April 27, 1964.
· This is an early pre-Capitol Records Picture Sleeve.
· IT IS THE ONLY BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE RELEASED BY TOLLIE RECORDS!
· This picture sleeve has become especially popular and desirable, because the drawing on this sleeve was later used on the VERY RARE PORTRAIT COVER prepared for the later issue of “The Beatles And Frank Ifeld On Stage” Vee Jay LP (Vee Jay 1085 LP).
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION. (It’s among the nicest I have!) There is very light overall wear with very light signs of handling. Only the very light wear on the sleeve images, a couple of tiny creases at one of the top corners, and a very tiny ¼ -inch split on the bottom seam center keep me from grading the sleeve near Mint. (Check out the images and you’ll see what I mean!) The sleeve still has very nice color and has not faded over the years!
· The VINYL is in NICE VG+ CONDITION with just a few very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs. This Tollie pressing has yellow labels with the lettering in THIN PRINT and catalog number at the bottom. The labels are clean with very light wear.
An EARLY BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE (and record) in VERY NICE CONDITION. It’s a sleeve that has becoming increasingly hard-to-find in this NICE condition these days!

FYI: I use the COVER/SLEEVE GRADES and RECORD GRADES listed and described on page 8 of Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records. These grades are Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY grade this 45 and picture sleeve, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
