IMMACULATE CONDITION, STUNNING UN-PLAYED LP, BEAUTIFUL AS NEW SLEEVE, INCORPORATING A 24 PAGE STAPLED BOOKLET, IMMACULATE.
Item Description/Condition
Featured here is an immaculate example of this scarce and briefly issued Original 1976 UK FIRST ISSUE Vinyl LP for The Beatles UK Parlophone release, Magical Mystery Tour, featuring tracks taken from The Beatles TV film Magical Mystery Tour.
Released in the UK 19th November 1976, this is the first time that Magical Mystery Tour was released in the UK as an Album. For reasons unknown, E.M.I. did not advertise this UK Parlophone LP in any way at the time. Consequently it did not sell very well, and failed to chart at the time.
The Stereo Vinyl LP is on the official Black & Silver Parlophone Label, with ‘Mfd in the UK by E.M.I. Records’ label rim, printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record labels are in immaculate Mint condition – an undamaged and unmarked set of record labels without spindle lines.
The Side 1first issue matrix is YEX 959-1, and side 2, YEX 960-1.
Side 1 stampers, 4 HTM, Side 2 stampers, 4 HTM.
Both sides of the LP are in immaculate and as new Mint condition – day of release vinyl surfaces to both sides.
The LP comes in its original Made In Great Britain white inner bag, and is protected in its original gate-fold sleeve, incorporating a very nice 24 page booklet which is stapled within the centre of the Gate-fold Sleeve. The booklet contains colour photographs and cartoons images taken from the Magical Mystery Tour TV film. The lyrics to each of the five songs that were featured in the film, are printed on the inside of the back cover of the gate-fold sleeve.
The Gate-fold sleeve is an immaculate Mint example – the sleeve is in perfect condition throughout. The 24 page booklet is complete with no loose pages, no tearing, no handwriting to any of the pages, and still firmly attached with original staples. The reverse of the sleeve shows the catalogue number and NO bar code, all later releases of this album had the bar code printed on the reverse.
An immaculate example of this UK first issue Original UK Beatles album, in stunning condition.
