The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour 1967 1st US Stereo Press 24 Page Booklet VG/VG.
For auction is a very good listeners copy of Magical Mystery Tour by the Beatles. It was released as a LP in the US in November 1967 and as a double-EP in the UK that December. Both are the soundtrack to the 1967 television film of the same name. The latter version only has the 6 songs from the movie while the US LP has those tracks on side 1 as well as an additional 5 on side 2. The flip side songs were initially released as singles earlier in 1967 but never appeared on an album. The soundtrack side features the popular title-track as well as the classic, “I Am The Walrus”. The second side includes the three #1 hits, “Hello, Goodbye”, “Penny Lane” and “All You Need Is Love” that all topped the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Also included are the classics, “Strawberry Fields Forever” and “Baby, You’re A Rich Man” which peaked at #8 and #34 on Billboard Hot 100 respectively. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified 6x platinum in the US selling 6 million copies. This copy is a 1st Scranton Pressing.
Vinyl is play graded VG. Several visible surface marks and hairlines but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with mild background noise at times that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.
Gatefold cover is also in VG condition. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. Title side is perfectly legible. Slight peeling along lower part of title edge. Along top of front a small peel exists too. Light ring wear on both sides and small stains along open edge on front. Full 24-page booklet is included but has become unstapled to gatefold which has created a tiny rip. Would be graded VG+ if still intact. Please see pics.
