Item: The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour SMAL 2835 US Capitol Rainbow LP 1968 pressing. The gatefold is card sleeve (non laminated) is complete with the large booklets is still attached which in itself is rare as most are detached or have partly come away this has not and is firmly attached with no rips or tears.
Matrix Numbers: Side 1: SMAL 1 -2835 B 14
Side 2: SMAL 2 - 2835 - A7 2
Record Weight: 132g
Sleeve: 1st Issue with "No Your Not Credit" under "I Am The Walrus".
Inner Sleeve: Original white inner sleeve which is rare as most are thrown away or replaced.
Labels: Capitol Rainbow rims with Ascap publishing credit to side 1 and BMI to side 2.
Detailed Descriptions
The Sleeve: EX Has some mild stain spots to the inside of the gatefold nothing that detracts from the lovely condition of the sleeve. The spine is clearly readable. There is no ringwear only slight sign of rubbing to the rear otherwise super condition. The edges have no seam splits with only very minor wear to the top and the corners very slight wear. This sleeve is one of the nicest I have seen as most of them being card sleeves are well worn or have seam splits this does not.
The Booklet: EX+ Still firmly attached to card sleeve and the staples are rust free. There are some stain spots to front of the booklet nothing major. It is so rare to find an early edition with booklet still attached as the booklet is heavy and can easily detach or rip this copy hasn't any tears around the staple area very nice condition without any writing or marks anywhere.
Inner Sleeve: NM Lovely condition no seam splits rips, tears, stains, discolouration or stain spots.
The Labels: EX+ Superb condition on both sides only one mark on each side otherwise super condition.
Record Visually Graded: EX+ Has some very light scratches in strong light otherwise in normal light looks to be near mint with a lovely sheen no feelable marks anywhere. There are some marks on the record but are actually when the record was produced and are just visual.
Record Playback: NM Plays quietly even through the quiet parts there is barely any crackle just lovely crisp sound throughout plays without skips, clicks or jumps.
Please note that the record has been professionally cleaned on a record cleaning machine with a non alcohol cleaning solution
I use the following grading system:
M=Mint: The record/sleeve is brand new condition. Just like when first pressed and the record will have no deterioration in sound quality. All items including lyric sheet poster etc are in perfect condition.
NM=Near Mint: The record or sleeve may just marginally be off new condition and have the odd minor flaw.
EX=Excellent: The record shows signs of being played, but there is hardly any lessening in sound quality. The cover might show signs of wear.
VG=Very Good: The record has been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Despite the odd occasional surface marks and the odd light scratch. The cover will shows signs of usage without any major defects.
G= Good: The record has been played numerous times and the sound quality has deteriorated and plays with distortion. The cover will have seam splits, scuffing of edges, discolouration and creases/ing.
F=Fair: The record has not been cared for properly and has loud surface noise but is still just playable. The sleeve will be torn, stained/defaced.
P=Poor: The record will not play properly due scratches and will have bad surface noise. The cover will be damaged and even have parts missing.
B=Bad: The record is unplayable possibly broken, which would only be considered as a collection filler.
I use a plus and minus signs +/- to show if marginally better or worse condition.

All records are removed from their sleeves and placed in a new plastic sealable sleeve for posting! I use cruciform mailers which are very strong.
