Description
An early 1st pressing of the Magical Mystery Tour EP on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -1/-1/-1/-2. Both records hold the 'Sold in the UK..' statement on their labels which identifies them as original first issues. 'Northern Songs NCB' - across three lines which is only apparent on the very earliest first issues. Please note the lyric sheets inside the booklet are blue which is consistent with a first pressing. Also included are both the original wavy topped inner sleeves. 100% intact & 100% original..........
Cover (Ex+) Has clearly been looked after down the years and has survived in remarkable condition. Shiny front and back with hardly any edge wear. All pages of the booklet are intact and have not been defaced in any way. The booklet itself remains securely stapled within the cover and there are no signs of rust. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and has the feel of a new product. Even the spine shows very little wear at all. A fantastic example of an original sought after cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) Again, has clearly only seen light use and has been carefully looked after. All sides remain nice and shiny and under close inspection I can't see more than a couple of ultra feint marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. There are a couple of very light crackles just audible in a couple of the quieter tracks, but it's very minor and doesn't detract in anyway from what is a very high standard of playback. These mono originals do have a very nice bold warm sound to them - thoroughly enjoyable.
Inners (Ex) Both remain totally intact and without markings or ageing. Very difficult to find like this...
