Description

An original 1st mono press of MMT on UK Parlophone from 1967. Matrix 1/1/1/2. 'Sold In the UK' statement is exhibiting on all 4 sides - which guarantees you 1st issue. Tax Code - "KT". For absolute 1st press you need to find the publishing credit across THREE lines, rather than two which you find on slightly later copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono 1st issue gatefold cover with booklet attached internally. Lyric page are attached and are printed on BLUE paper - consistent with 1st issue. We also have both wavy topped inner sleeves. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete. We will ship with generic 7 inch paper inners to avoid damage.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and haven't been overplayed like so many other original 45's. A couple of light marks per side - nothing nasty or heavy. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. It is so important to find a lightly used copy because so many copies will have been trashed over the years. This copy is going to deliver you good clean original mono. A total treat. Very nice clean signalled copy. Not too much to take issue with. Plays clean into the fussier numbers. All I couple detect was a couple of ticks in "YMSK" - and a click literally in the final second as the audio cuts out. A couple of crackles going into 'FOOL' - which otherwise plays great for a fussy track. Blue Jay Way - absolutely superb. Overall a cracking genuine 1st mono player<<<
Cover (Ex-) Well preserved and looking a lot smarter than many copies. Shiny flat uncreased front and rear. perhaps a faintest hint of ageing - but it really does look very tidy. The interior is spot on. Many copies will be looking a bit messy by this point in time. But this example is clean and not heavily thumbed. Again, just some faint aging at extremities. Lyric sheets are much better than average having not been heavily thumbed. Staples have avoided the worst rusting that usually occurs. Fully intact and secure. Minimal edge wear. Spine is well above average with just faintest sign of wear on one leading edge [as would be difficult to avoid entirely]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex-) Unbelievable really. Not sure I have ever seen an original pair looking this spritely! Lightest ageing. No creasing. No splits. Sweet!
