Recently purchased this on a recommendation from a well known audiophile. See this video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cKO9VdMAkg Starting at 40:40 until 41:45, Mr. Fremer describes this pressing.
This pressing certainly lives up to the hype. I've never heard better. The vinyl is conservatively rated as Excellent, but after being machine cleaned it is closer to Near Mint, in my opinion. It plays perfectly with hardly a pop or tick anywhere. There are a few random ticks or clicks but no scratches. Considering this piece of vinyl is 50 years old that is very rare indeed. As you can see from the short video, when side one is played with a center weight, the vinyl is perfectly flat. However, in the interest of full disclosure, when side two is played there is a very slight "bowl" to the vinyl. I would say it is 1mm or less at the periphery.
The fully laminated cover is in Very Good condition for it's age, although there is some lifting of the laminate at the bottom of the back cover. Please inspect all photos carefully as they are part of the description. I have tried to capture every corner front and back as well as the top seam where there is the beginning of a split.
With the condition of the cover in mind, I will ship this vinyl in a separate generic cardboard sleeve so that no further splits will occur.
After cleaning, I recorded this album digitally at a resolution of 24bit 192khz. I have also made 30 second audio samples of each track from the Hi-Rez files for you to test drive before you buy. If you are unable to listen to 24/192 files, I can re-sample them down to 16/44.1 which is the same as a CD. I'm not sure how to upload audio files on ebay, so just send me a message with your email address, and I will send them to you.
Included in this listing are the following: 1- Vinyl - Ex to NM 2- Original laminated jacket - VG 3- Original(?) paper inner sleeve - not sure if it's original but is old. 4- New generic cardboard sleeve. 5- New anti static inner sleeve from MFSL. 6- Archival quality clear Outer Sleeve.
