Description
To suggest this vinyl is near mint is far too vague. After listening to this album on a pair of Grado PS1000e’s I would rate this a 99 out of 100 and suggest the quality of this press to be overwhelming. The only factor that keeps me from rating this a 100 is the fact that it has been opened. Honestly, I’ve been listening to this album for 20 years and this was the first time I would say that I really heard it. This copy may have never been listened to by the original owner based on the caliber of the sound (I hope not but it is really that clean) but because it was purchased on the secondary market I had to make sure there were no defects.
The jacket itself would fall into the excellent category which also runs a wide spectrum of bottom line quality. I would give this an 88 based on a number of nominal factors. I imagine this jacket was not stored inside of a plastic sleeve once opened because the corners have small dents which I attempted to capture in the pictures. What I have been unable to capture in the pictures was the reminisce of a small price sticker (below the N and G in the word Recording in the blue border) which keeps it out of the near mint A- range. The seams are all tight. Despite these minor aforementioned flaws, you won’t be disappointed. Since purchase I have stored the album in a protective plastic sleeve.
Regarding shipping the album is shipped within cardboard inside of a Whiplash album mailer. If you have any other questions please let me know.
