Description
The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour" Parlophone MMT-1 EP (extended play) in MONO, manufactured in the UK in 1967, this is the very, very first pressing of this unique item, in NM condition all around, you often see these in stereo, but not so much in mono, this 2-record set (with 6-songs) is housed in a gatefold cover that is much like a book with 24 pages and has the additional 4 middle lyric pages in light blue (only the very 1st pressings had the blue pages), the inner paper sleeves are also the correct "white" sleeves with top "scalloped" edges, this is Spizer-cataloged as PAR MMT.MC1A, the record has the 4-prong centers, and have the "Sold in U.K." text and Gramophone perimeter print and the "KT" tax stamp, the records are cataloged as MR1A (having the publishing credits on 3 lines rather than 2), the staples on the binding are bright and silver, you occasionally find these but to find the very, very 1st pressing in MONO, in complete NM condition, is special; final keeper.
GM K-13213, 1964 original pressing, nice sleeve is VG++, straight and square with no splits, no stains, just a minimum of ring wear (see all photos), the record is a solid EXC to EXC+ (not too far from the NM category), this item also comes with a vintage company yellow MGM sleeve.
