Description
In this auction:
· “MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR” LP by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol of Canada Records MAL - 2835.
· This is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.
· Canadian Mono pressings were issued November 27, 1967.
· Early Canadian MONO copies were RCA-pressed and identifiable by the pressing ring on the label.
· Original Canadian MONO copies of “Magical Mystery Tour” are scarcer than original stereo copies, the same as the U.S. issues of this LP.
· “Magical Mystery Tour” was the LAST CANADIAN Beatles LP title to be issued in MONO, which was the same as in the U.S. The subsequent Beatles LPs released in the U.S. and Canada, “Abbey Road”, “The Beatles” (aka: “The White Album”, “Let It Be” and “Hey Jude” (aka: “The Beatles Again”, were ALL issued ONLY in STEREO.
· The GATEFOLD COVER is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. There is light overall wear (as you can see in the images). There is light to moderate corner wear, and there are small pushes on the corners. The seams are strong and there are NO seam splits. The 24-page booklet inside the gatefold cover is still attached to the cover, and all pages are still attached inside the booklet. There are some old tape discolorations inside the front cover at the spine and on the first page of the booklet where it was once taped inside the cover and some old discolored tape and residue on pages 22 and 23 that also held the booklet together inside the cover. · The VINYL is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. There are a number of very light surface hairlines/scuffs; none of them are “feel-able”. The vinyl has LOTS of GLOSS!
It’s a NICE UNCOMMON CANADIAN MONO COPY of the BEATLES’ “Magical Mystery Tour” LP to add to your vinyl collection.
