The Beatles     "Meet The Beatles"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Capitol ST-82047 from 1964.      This was their first album on Capitol Records in the USA.      It is the Capitol Record Club pressing with lime green labels and a big purple "C" at top center.      The record number with the '8' is on the back cover at top right with three black bars and on both labels.         There is an 'RIAA Gold Record Award' printed on the front cover at top right.  

The songs are : I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Saw Her Standing There, This Boy, It Won't Be Long, All I've Got To Do, All My Loving, Don't Bother Me, Little Child, Till There Was You, Hold Me Tight, I Wanna Be Your Man, and Not A Second Time.

In the Perry Cox, Frank Daniels, Bruce Spizer Beatles Price Guides the cover is CRC 2047.SR31 and the record is CRC 2047.SC2B.

The matrix numbers are hand etched : side 1 : ST 1 82047  W1 and side 2 : ST 2 80247 - W1.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is VG+

The cover is VG+ with no writing and no seam splits.         There is light wear, lots of seam wear, and tiny bumps on the corners.          The vinyl looks VG+ and it plays VG+, with light handling marks, and a light scuff across side 2, that plays through fine.       The labels are clean with light spindle marks.       The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
